Advanced Officer Leadership School is a doctoral-level leadership course. AOLS is about many aspects of leadership -- not simply combat leadership. In UFPI, all Officers that are leaders must start from the same "basic training" and have the same "club familiarization". In this organization, all members, even the ones who think it is best to shoot first, will need to understand why our future depends on their thinking about it . . . FIRST ! Applicants are expected to be familiar with and have some experience with general and UFPI-specific leadership concepts: management theory, group dynamics, personnel management, conflict resolution, UFPI Command structure, roles of individuals and groups within UFPI, and managing relationships with groups outside of UFPI. Part of leadership is communicating your knowledge, abilities, and intentions to others; communication skill is vitally important. Therefore, your ability to express yourself is also a part of this course. Spelling, grammar, and syntax count towards the final grade. The best answers will synthesize complex concepts into complete, concise, and easily understood essays. The exam will be graded first by the AOLS College Dean, then reviewed by the Academy Commandant. A minimum grade of 85% is required to pass. Prerequisites: UFPI Members:
